Who we are

What we collect

Reading this site: very little, and nothing we could use to identify you. We set no cookies, so there is no banner. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (your IP address and browser type) for security and deletes them after a day. Its analytics counts page views and button clicks without cookies: each visit is tallied under a code that is thrown away after 24 hours, and we only ever see totals. Our fonts come from Adobe. To deliver them, your browser sends Adobe your IP address and the address of the site you are on. Adobe uses the IP address to route the font and does not store it. It keeps the site address to count font use and pay the type designers. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the site. You can object to this. See Your rights.

The question box: what you type stays in your browser. We never see it.

Booking a call: your name, email address, the time you pick and any notes, collected through Cal.com. Booking also creates a Microsoft Outlook calendar entry and a Microsoft Teams meeting link. So Microsoft holds your name, email address and the meeting time. We use them to hold the call, on the basis that you asked us to, and we keep them for as long as we are in touch about working together. After that we keep them only for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.

When you open the booking window, Cal.com sets a few cookies and browser-storage entries. They exist only to make the form work. One blocks automated traffic, others secure the form while it is open, and one holds the time slot you pick until you finish. None is set until you open the window, and none tracks you anywhere else.

Emailing us: what you send, kept for as long as we are dealing with it and any work that follows. After that we keep it only for as long as the law requires. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering you. And if the email leads to us working together, it becomes the steps you asked us to take towards a contract. Our email runs on Microsoft 365, so Microsoft stores it for us.

Following up: if we have spoken about working together, we may email you afterwards about Frank. That is our legitimate interest in continuing a conversation you started. Every such email has an unsubscribe link. We stop the moment you use it.

Who else handles it

Vercel (hosting and analytics), Cal.com (booking), Microsoft (email, calendar and Teams calls) and Adobe (fonts) process data for us under contract. Adobe also uses font-usage data for its own purposes. Its Adobe Fonts privacy notice describes them. All four are United States companies. Vercel, Microsoft and Adobe are certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK government has ruled gives your data adequate protection. Cal.com is not, so for Cal.com we rely on its standard contractual clauses with the UK international data transfer addendum. We do not sell your data and we share it with no one else unless the law makes us.

Your rights

Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it. Ask us to restrict how we use it, or to send it to you or someone else in a portable form. And object to anything we do on the basis of legitimate interest. Email hello@frankdecisionintelligence.com. We reply within a month. If we get it wrong, complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
